Software Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for a Software Engineer to work at our headquarters in Annapolis, MD. The software engineer will be responsible for developing security products while working in Agile development process. Qualified candidates will participate in the full software engineering lifecycle development process.
Responsibilities and duties
- Qualified candidates will execute and monitor software builds and create installation kits per product release schedules
- Assist quality assurance team by providing assistance to testers and support personnel as needed to determine system problems
- Collaborate with quality assurance in creation of their test plans and participate in reviews
- Evaluate impact of software performance, and recommend changes to software design team and product management
- Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections
- Provide input to establish and improve processes and procedures
- Escalate issues to management as appropriate
- Participate in design and code reviews with other developers
Requirements
- US Citizen with willingness and ability to be cleared if necessary
- 3+ years software development experience with strong working knowledge of C/C++ (Preferred), Java
- Knowledge of the SDLC
- Experience with mobile platform development a plus
- A Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent experience is preferred
- Ability to successfully manage schedules and timelines
